My name’s Haydn, the author of this blog. I’m an Australian married to a South Korean and have two adorable girls. I am a Theology student at the Wesley Institute and am pursuing God’s calling in my life to establish a preaching and counselling ministry to heal broken people. I also write, read, and enjoy time with my family. For about 4-5 years, I lived as a ‘gay’ man, but am now a man experiencing the transformative healing of Christ as He heals the wounds which ave so often taken me to sin and destruction. Although I am now married, this is by no means a sign that I am no longer ‘gay’: I’m no longer ‘gay’ because I am being healed.
The purpose of this blog is for me to be a proverb of deep wisdom in a world so replete with superficiality, brokenness, anger, and sin. Here’s why I started this blog. I end this introduction to you with this lovely quote from C.S. Lewis’ classic, The Great Divorce: “I am in Love, and out of it I will not go”. Like the bonsai above, safely sitting in the hands of the holder, I am in Love: in the Love of God’s tender hands and out of it I will not go.
